Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared a few vague posts about our family going through something difficult. We’ve stayed quiet while waiting for answers and trying to protect our children from worry until we knew more.
Now that we have clarity, we’re ready to share.
My mom is a stage 3 breast cancer survivor. For years, she has faithfully gone to her annual scans and checkups, and we’ve been incredibly blessed with good reports, good health, and so many beautiful memories together.
This year was different.
After experiencing some pain, additional scans were done—and the results were more than we could have imagined. The doctors found multiple cancers: tumors in both lungs, one in her neck affecting her lymph nodes, and a large tumor on her hip bone.
We were given the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 cancer.
As a family, we immediately went into action—researching, praying, and exploring every possible option. On March 26th, she will be seeing a specialist at Moffitt Cancer Center to discuss treatment plans and next steps.
At the same time, my mom has chosen to also pursue a holistic approach alongside traditional care. This includes therapies aimed at strengthening her body and helping slow the growth and spread of the cancer.
However, these treatments come with significant costs.
My parents have already spent nearly $10,000 on deductibles, travel, and medical care. Some of the recommended tools, like a hyperbaric chamber and a therapeutic sauna, may sound like luxuries, but they are believed to support healing, improve oxygen levels, and potentially help slow tumor progression.
Right now, we are just fighting time.
If you feel led to give, we are beyond grateful for any financial support. Every contribution will go directly toward her care, treatments, and travel.
If giving isn’t possible, we completely understand. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean just as much to us. And if you have any ideas, resources, or experiences that could help, we are open and thankful to hear them.
Thank you for loving our family, standing with us, and helping us fight for more time.
