Help NICU baby Kenzo and his family

The moment you learn you are pregnant, you start dreaming of the day you will meet your baby. You envision bringing them home to a cutely decorated nursery, spending your maternity leave snuggling your beautiful baby and creating memories.

December 24th at only 28 weeks old via emergency c-section (full term is 40 weeks), Kenzo was born prematurely due to an umbilical cord prolapsed. He entered this world full of fight and has battled one thing after another from Bacterial Meningitis, Kidney dilation, Feeding difficulties, Bilateral brain bleeds and more.

Due to this battle, his sweet mama, Celine, has been by his side day in and day out and used up her maternity leave due to having to be on bedrest 2 months prior to Kenzo’s arrival but sadly Kenzo is nowhere near ready to come home.

Kenzo’s dad, Tatsuya, works in California and is unable to visit as often as he would like to due to financial stressors. Therefore, not only has this family dealt with emotional stress and rollercoaster of wondering if their baby will survive, Tatsuya got in a horrible car accident breaking 5 ribs, a collapsed lung so has been admitted to the hospital in California and is no longer able to work at this time to help with the ever growing bills.

Unfortunately Celine’s maternity leave ends March 3rd, 2019, however she is able to get a bonding leave so that she can continue to come and assist in cares with kenzo and be his mom but sadly, bonding leave is a no paid leave. Due to Tatsuya living out of state and now his injuries, he is unable to help look after Kenzo. As you can tell the stressors financially are high, but the idea of not being able to be with her baby in NICU is even harder.

Celine enters everyday so positive and grateful knowing that the outcome could have been severely worse for both Kenzo and Tatsuya. However, as you can imagine finances are constantly a stressor in the back of her mind, any little bit of help would allow this family to take the time they deserve to recover and care for sweet Kenzo and one another.

Thank you for your donation to Kenzo’s family, it means more than you could ever know.
