I’m reaching out on behalf of a very dear friend and colleague Cecilia. A few weeks back she went in for what she thought was a routine surgery and would come back to work a few days later. Unfortunately not only were they unable to complete the surgery, she found out she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. They moved quickly and started chemo. Unfortunately the side effects were not something she was willing to compromise for and made the decision to stop. I will share her words.

“I let my loved ones know that I won't be continuing my cancer treatments. The pain and suffering that I endured from chemo is not worth the couple of extra months tacked on the end. Even the oncologist agreed that chemo wasn't worth it either. My loved ones support my decision, I couldn't love them more for that. I choose quality over quantity of life.”

With this said, she deserves to have peace and not financial stress and enjoy being surrounded by the ones that love her dearly. Anything helps and is appreciated and will go toward her living expenses and anything she made need to keep her comfortable

I also want to share a little about Cecelia :) she is a hard working independent beautiful woman inside and out. She has a love for cows and when she smiles/laughs so do I. From the first day I meet her she has been such a blessing in my life. She deserves so much and has such a strong support of friends that love and care for her. We thank you in advance.
