Supporting Bryson’s road to recovery
Donation protected
I had got one of the worst calls from my daughter last night that my 2 year old grandson Bryson tripped and feel backwards into a camp fire pit. They called 911 and the ambulance got there right away. They ambulance him to Pella and then Pella life flighted him to Iowa City Burn Unit. After evaluation of the burns they say about 10% of his body is burnt. They are all 3rd degree burns. He has burn spots on his lower back, arms, hand, and back of the legs. Once he arrived in Iowa City they got him sedated to calm him down and was able to dress his wounds. Today when they changed his dressing they said that the ones on his hand, back and legs are the worse. They are Keri g him comfortable with pain meds. They also said the burns could get worse and go deeper but they are hoping they won’t. They will defiantly require many surgeries to clean them and then do skin graft. This could be multiple different surgeries. They informed us they will have to make multiple trips up here to Iowa City. As it will be a long road of recovery. They live about 3 hours away from the hospital. I am asking for help for transportation, lodging, food and time off work they will have to take. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone for the prayers and support.
