In February of 2021, Brittany was diagnosed with stage 3 HER2+ breast cancer. She began chemotherapy treatments in March . Her first course of treatment included 12 weeks of Taxol. Once Brittany completed 12 weeks of Taxol, she began her second course of treatment. She is currently undergoing a type of chemotherapy called AC (Adriamycin and Cyclophosphamide).

Brittany is anticipating having a double mastectomy in August, and will complete 6 weeks of radiation following the surgery.

Because of the aggressive nature of the AC chemo she is currently undergoing, Brittany must take time off of work to recover following each treatment.
