On Friday, February 20th, the world lost an extraordinary woman. Brittany McMunn was a wife, mother, editor, publisher, and fierce champion of storytellers. She passed away in her sleep, leaving behind her husband and high school sweetheart, Seth, and their two young daughters, Willow and Wrenlee.

Brittany was the kind of person who changed lives in powerfull ways. As the owner of Conquest Publishing and Editor-in-Chief of Wild Ink Publishing, she dedicated her career to lifting up debut authors and underrepresented voices. She built platforms rooted in opportunity, advocacy, and heart, and shaped stories that might otherwise have gone unheard.

She held a BA in Communication from Arkansas State University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, and she brought every bit of that education and passion to the writers she believed in.

She also worked at Ensemble Health Partners, where she gave the same care and dedication to everything she touched.

But before any of that, she was Seth's person. His high school sweetheart. And she was Willow and Wrenlee's mom.

Seth is now navigating the unimaginable. Grief, single parenthood, and the weight of unexpected expenses, all at once. Any contribution, large or small, will go directly toward supporting this family as they find their footing in the weeks and months ahead. Funeral costs, everyday bills, the girl's activities, or simply some breathing room to grieve. Whatever form your generosity takes, it means everything.
