In October 2025, our beloved Bri suffered a major stroke, which turned his life upside-down overnight. Previously healthy and fiercely independent, this was traumatic for all those close to him.

Since then, Bri's shown such incredible strength and determination in his recovery. From needing full support, he's worked tirelessly to regain mobility and independence, and has already made huge progress... something we are all SO proud of.

However, Bri's recovery is ongoing, particularly with the use of his arm and hand, and we want to give him the best possible chance to continue improving.

Bri has the opportunity to attend an intensive neuro rehab programme at MOTIONrehab in Leeds. This programme focuses on high-level, specialist therapy to help rewire the brain and maximise recovery after stroke, particularly for upper limb function, which is currently his biggest challenge.

The programme costs around £7,500, and would also require Bri to take four weeks off work without pay, adding further financial strain on top of what has already been a very difficult six months. This also doesn't include accommodation, which would also be a significant cost on top of everything.

This opportunity could help Bri take another big step forward, both physically and mentally.

Bri is determined to get as much independence back as possible, including getting back to driving, getting out and about, and living life on his own terms again. This programme could make a real difference in helping him get there.
