We hope you are safe and well and your families are managing during these tumultuous times.  The current health crisis has upended most of our lives and has been challenging for everyone.  Among many other challenges, we all know how much our little ones miss their classmates, their dear teachers, and the wonderful activities and experiences they have at Bright Horizons at Democracy Center. Since the center closed two weeks ago, teachers have received their full pay.  However, beginning today, they are unfortunately furloughed, receiving only two hours of pay per week.  Once they have used all accumulated leave, they will be eligible to collect unemployment until the center reopens.

The Family Partnership Group has discussed the desire that some families in the Bright Horizons community may have to support the caring adults who love and teach our children.  To this end, we have created this GoFundMe page that will allow families in our school community to contribute to a fund that we will use to purchase gift cards to grocery stores, Amazon, and Target for the twenty-five wonderful teachers at Bright Horizons Democracy Center.  If you are in a position to make a gift, and would like to do so, we invite you contribute here.
