It is with heavy hearts that we share some difficult news.

On Wednesday, January 14, Brandon was taken to the hospital after experiencing significant pain and complications from the flu that made it difficult for him to breathe. Trusting that something wasn’t right, he sought medical attention immediately.

After being admitted, Brandon underwent extensive testing, including blood work and scans. Doctors discovered cancer in his colon that has spread to other organs. At this time, he is still undergoing further testing to determine the exact type of cancer and what the next steps for treatment will be.

As Brandon and his fiancée, Amber, begin navigating this overwhelming and uncertain journey, they will be facing not only emotional and physical challenges, but financial ones as well. With both of them currently unable to work, everyday expenses such as rent, groceries, travel to appointments, and basic living costs will become an added source of stress.
