It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Jose Castro and his mother on Saturday morning, May 23, 2026. Jose was much more than a coach — he was a mentor, leader, teacher, and beloved member of the Bonnie Youth Club family for over 40 years. Throughout his lifetime of service, Jose dedicated himself tirelessly to the youth in our community as a Bonnie Manager, Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and Board Member. His commitment to baseball and to helping young people extended far beyond the field. In addition to his work with the Bonnies, Jose served as the JV Coach at Packer High School, operated his own summer camp, and provided academic and athletic tutoring to countless children and families. He gave his time, energy, and heart to helping others every single day. Anyone who knew Jose knew his passion, kindness, and unwavering dedication to the players and families he supported. His impact on our community is immeasurable, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. We are raising funds to help support Jose Castro’s family during this unimaginable time and to assist with funeral and memorial expenses.
