Hi everyone,

I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friends Taylor Haney and Taylor Cardy whose 9 year old son Bo has been in the Winnipeg HSC Children's hospital since January 4th, 2026, after a life threatening infection and emergency surgery. Bo is looking at life long health issues due to location and damage to his nerves, ligaments and tendons. Due to our community not having appropriate health care and having to stay on aggressive antibiotics - he will remain in hospital until February 17th. Unfortunately, his medical journey is still ongoing, and things are changing daily — meaning his stay could be longer. Taylor Haney currently on leave from work to be with him while Taylor Cardy, Bo's dad, has had his own medical journey and has been on disability leave since August 2025. He has had multiple back surgeries and CSF leaks that lead him to be off of work for months longer than anticipated and his partner, Taylor Haney, to care for their home and 3 youngest children on her own physically and financially.

No parent ever expects to spend weeks living between hospital walls, and the emotional toll alone is overwhelming on not just them, but Bo's siblings (Angel, Kaylan, Clover). On top of that, the financial strain continues to grow with each passing day.

Between time away from work, travel back and forth to the hospital, meals, parking, and other unexpected expenses, the costs quickly add up. Right now, the parent’s only focus should be being by their son’s side — not worrying about how to make ends meet.

We’re hoping to raise funds to help cover:

•Lost income while caring for her son

•Travel, parking, and daily hospital-related expenses

•Meals and basic living costs during this extended stay

•Any additional needs that arise as his care continues

Anyone who knows the Taylor’s knows how strong, loving, and devoted they are as parents. They would never ask for help unless it was truly needed — but during a time like this, community support can make a world of difference.
