PLESSE Share When something bad happens you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or let it strengthen you."
BJ was first diagnosed with a brain tumor after he suffered a stroke at age 27 in 2011. The MRI showed a spot on his left temporal lobe. He was sent to a specialist in London where he was told the news. Because the tumor was small, the specialist recommended regular MRI's and checkups to keep an eye on the tumor’s growth. Over the next few years the tumor slowly grew, and in the spring of 2016 the specialist recommended brain surgery and the entire tumor was removed and chemo and radiation weren’t necessary. Life continued until fall 2019 when the specialist saw changes in his MRI. BJ would fight again. He is now undergoing 30 radiation treatments and chemotherapy to remove the cancer. BJ is a fighter through and through. His upbeat personality, positive attitude and love for his children keep him going strong, and with the love and support of his family and friends he will win his fight with cancer.
On Jan. 25 BJ’s friends and family will be going around collecting beer cans and liquor/wine bottles, and cash donations will be accepted, with all proceeds going directly to the Goodwin family!!!
The Goodwin family and friends would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping this great person and amazing family!
