Supporting Bennett Fierro as he undergoes brain surgery

My name is Angi and I am raising money for my nephew, Bennett Fierro.

On March 25, 2025, Bennett will undergo brain surgery at the Mayo Clinic in MN to remove a cerebral cavernous malformation. This is a group of blood vessels that are bleeding into his brain. Bennett will have to be awake during the surgery to avoid damage to speech pathways or any critical brain overlay.

Bennett is 27 years old. He recently bought his first home with his fiance Naylah, who he will marry this Fall. Bennett just finished his second season at Stevens High school coaching boys basketball and works full time. Bennett will need to be out of work for at least several months while he recovers.

My nephew is truly an inspiration. He beat the odds and survived Meningitis several years ago, and has had extensive hospital stays, grueling ongoing medical appointments, seizures, chronic headaches, extensive treatments and expensive medications ever since.

Nevertheless, Bennett is warm ☀️, welcoming, and always has a smile.

Bennett never complains. He is always thankful and kind. If you are lucky enough to know my nephew, you know how amazing he is.

I am asking for help to off set his medical bills and living expenses. He would never ask for help, and would rather spend his time and energy on others. This is something very small that we can do to help support him.
