As many of you may know Barbara Bean, a beloved member of the Springfield community, was recently involved in a serious car accident. She sustained multiple injuries, including a broken arm, requiring surgery with the placement of plates and screws, a broken thumb, thirteen stitches across her knee, and two hairline fractures in her ankle that may still require an additional surgery.
These injuries left her hospitalized and now facing a long road to recovery.
She is currently unable to perform many of the everyday tasks we often take for granted things like getting up and walking around without assistance or being able to cook your own meal. With both upper and lower body injuries, her mobility and independence have been significantly impacted.
In addition to the physical toll, this accident has forced her to be out of work for an extended period of time adding financial stress on top of everything else. While she focuses on healing, bills continue to come in. She works tirelessly to make sure the town of Springfield is maintained, buses and traffic flow during busy school mornings and afternoons, and that her family is taken care of first and foremost.
Many of you have reached out asking how you can help, and for that we are incredibly grateful. If you feel moved to contribute, any amount would go directly toward easing the financial burden on her while she recovers.
We understand that not everyone may be in a position to give, and that’s okay. Sharing this page, keeping her in your prayers, and offering words of encouragement mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and generosity during this challenging time.
