This fundraiser is to support the Moore Family. (Parker, Lisa, Lincoln, Forest, & Lucy)

At Lisa’s 20 week routine anatomy scan, her doctor noticed some concerning cysts on baby Lucy’s kidneys. After further testing and additional ultrasounds, it was determined that Lucy has bilateral multi cystic dysplastic kidney disease. A condition they deem likely fatal at birth. Both kidneys are non functioning, and without Lucy’s kidneys being able to filter and produce the needed amniotic fluid, her lungs aren’t able to develop properly before birth.

After being referred to Cincinnati Children’s hospital, it was determined that Lisa and Lucy would be a good fit for routine amnioinfusions. A series of treatments that would insert amniotic fluid as often as needed leading up to birth. These treatments may give Lucy a much greater chance of survival after birth, giving her lungs the chance they need to develop. This means that their family will need to relocate to Cincinnati, and stay there until Lucy would be discharged from the NICU, which depending on her level of care could be up to 6-9 months or longer.

Lucy is in for a long hard road, with her also requiring dialysis after birth, leading up to hopefully a kidney transplant when she is about 2 years old.

Parker and Lisa are asking for your prayers and support as this will be a long and hard battle. Lisa writes:

“We are asking that you pray along with us for Lucy. Please pray for ultimate healing, for her growth, her strength, and her lung development.

We believe in the God of miracles, and have seen the power of prayer at work. I am reaching out fully knowing how prayer can move mountains, and that our God is greater than any diagnosis.

We already know so many are praying for us and our sweet Lucy, and we feel God’s presence through these prayers. We are thankful for the team of doctors and specialists who surround us, but we know that God is the ultimate healer, and his power goes far beyond what any medicine can.

We are not shaken in our faith. I have peace in our faithful God. I have seen God move already, and His working and comforting hand is with us always. We will take this day by day, for I know God’s mercies are new every morning.”

Please pray that these amnioinfusions are successful, and Lucy makes it as close to 37 weeks as possible before birth. Please pray over their family’s relocation to Cincinnati, as it will be a hard transition to make as a family and figuring out all the logistics and care.

If you are able to support them financially, they could use support from their community with travel expenses, meals, childcare, and all the additional medical expenses not covered by their insurance.
