Supporting babies & their families in NICU
Donation protected
When Cayden was born at 25 weeks 5days, we quickly became part of ‘the worst club in the world’ as we were told - NICU. We knew NICU was going to be a rollercoaster but didn’t expect how extreme it would get. 4 weeks of pure anxiety and worry but also filled with smiles, hope & laughter.
The NICU staff became our family & we seen them as literal angels on earth. These were the doctors and nurses that looked after Cayden (and us) during his short life. We will never forget the memories we had with Cayden in NICU & that’s all down to the staff. We are beyond grateful for the care & treatment they gave Cayden & because of this, we want to give back.
Myself, Conor, my sister Lucy & best friend Eimear will be running a half marathon to raise funds for both NICU’s that looked after Cayden, at the Royal Women’s & Royal Children’s hospital in Melbourne. Eimear will be running on 4th May in Sydney & we will be doing ours on 13th July in Melbourne, just over 6 months since we lost our gorgeous boy. Seeing the strength Cayden had, will get us through it. We will be forever proud of Cayden & hopefully he will be proud of us doing this for him.
Knowing that the money raised will go towards helping premature babies, critically ill babies and help give their families the support they need during the toughest time of their lives, would mean the world to us. We have set up this go fund me page & would appreciate any donations.
Thank you, Nicole & Conor
