I am originally from Westmoreland and i just returned from a journey through Burnt Savannah, Coote Savannah, and surrounding communities leading up to Basida Walk in Petersfield — and the devastation left by Hurricane Melissa is unimaginable. The families there are still trying to rebuild and recover, and they need our support now more than ever.
We’re launching a community initiative to help provide food, water, and essentials to those in need. Here’s how you can help:
Donations of clothes: Please label bags by size and gender to make distribution easier.
Non-perishable food and water are in great demand.
Baby and Mommy Supplies - Diapers , wipes, baby soap, lotion, mosquito repellent , pads for moms , rubbing alcohol, bandaids etc
Cash- I can accept Zelle also if you are overseas (Persons need to purchase items to start rebuilding homes. Gas is also a scarce commodity at the moment to access to move around)
