Supporting Athena Grace through Stage 4 Cancer

Dear friends and loves of Athena Grace,

Our very own "effulgent ball of galactic light" (Athena) has been in the throes of a stage 4 cancer diagnosis since October 2020.

She's been challenged by many aspects of dealing with cancer since then: lots of doctor visits, medications, significant pain, juggling two young children and an uncertain future...to name a few of the challenges.

Athena's currently living in the town of Gualdo Tadino, in the province of Perugia in northeastern Umbria (AKA: Italy).

She's been putting everything she's got into getting well and tackling this beast that is cancer, both mentally and financially. She does have some "on-the-ground" support in Italy, having lived there for 4-years, but her home, her people of California and the medical conveniences of life in America have become increasingly out of reach for her.

Athena has found an integrative oncologist in Southern California she's excited about and a few other promising medical options, all of which require a significantly greater amount of money than she is currently receiving. In essence, she really needs our help now.

These days there are a lot of fundraisers out there to contribute to, and it's really nice to have the convenience of a platform like GofundMe to help facilitate these needs for people. When you contribute to her campaign, the funds are converted into Euros and deposited directly into her bank account.

Hopefully, we will receive some updates from Athena herself, so we all know she is doing her best and getting better. But, for now, I wanted to get this request out into the greater community so she can receive some financial support to help ease a little of the daily stressors she endures as she navigates this bumpy, unknown journey.
