For this summer's "When I Grow Up" market, AKASSA is spotlighting the Asian Youth Center (AYC), a Los Angeles-based nonprofit founded in 1989 that empowers low-income, immigrant, and at-risk youth and families across the San Gabriel Valley and Antelope Valley.

AYC provides culturally and linguistically competent education, employment, and social services, including education and enrichment programs, community outreach, youth and family services, and an emergency food program that expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recognized in 2021 as a California Nonprofit of the Year, AYC continues to help young people build brighter futures — making it a fitting partner for a our "When I Grow Up" market celebrating kids' dreams.
