Supporting Anna's Gender-Affirming Surgery

Hi everyone,

I'm starting this GoFundMe for my amazing friend, Anna, who is raising money for a life-changing gender-affirming surgery. This surgery is a crucial step in her journey to living authentically and aligning her physical self with her true gender identity.

“I always wanted to be a girl when I was a kid, but I didn’t think that having those feelings was enough to be trans. It wasn’t until adulthood that I realized that I was a woman and felt like I had permission to be myself. Even still, I thought that I could never “pass”, so it was pointless to transition. But then, a special thing happened on my 40th birthday. My friends painted my nails, and braided my hair, and I couldn’t believe how good it felt. How right it felt. Even though I still had a big beard and the wrong clothes, I realized that taking these small steps was what I needed to start this journey. Now that I’m a few years in, I’m ready to take the big, permanent step of gender-affirming bottom surgery.” -Anna
