With deep sadness we are reaching out on behalf of Annabelle, who at 27 years old was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Annabelle received her sudden diagnosis just before Christmas 2025, and two weeks later had to undergo a mastectomy. After her pathology results came back, we received the devastating news that she will need to undergo varying amounts of chemotherapy, HER2 therapy and hormone therapy over the next 5 years.
There is nothing in the world that can prepare you for this kind of news about your child. My beautiful Bella is a daughter, a sister, a partner, a cousin, an aunty and a friend. She is deeply loving, truly authentic and has the intelligence and wisdom of a person who is forever curious and constantly learning. This journey is not one she ever expected to face, especially at such a young age — but if there’s anyone strong enough to face it head-on, it’s her.
Before her diagnosis Annabelle and her incredibly supportive partner Leo were getting ready to move to Melbourne so she could undertake a Masters Degree. Despite this life changing diagnosis, Belle has decided to not to let cancer stop her and is still going to try her best to undertake her studies. However, it does mean she will go without the support of her family nearby.
During treatment, particularly chemotherapy, she won’t be able to work and will be prioritising rest, self-care and healing. Cancer treatment brings about so many physical and emotional challenges. It also brings a lot of financial strain.
We created this fundraiser to help ease that burden, so she can focus on what matters most, her recovery. With your help, we hope to ease the pressure of:
• Out-of-pocket medical and treatment costs
• Medication and other cancer treatment related expenses
• Fertility preservation costs
• Ongoing physical therapy expenses
• Lost income during treatment periods
• Cost of living expenses during treatment periods
• Costs to have support at home, when her family isn’t able to physically be with her
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly towards supporting her medical expenses and basic needs during this hard time. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping her in your thoughts means just as much.
We believe deeply in her strength, and are so grateful that she has such a supportive community standing beside her.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and love.
