On behalf of my mom, Anita Ortegon, we have decided to create this GoFundMe page. Mom has been battling ovarian cancer for the past 3 years and in that time has made so many great strides towards successfully eradicating cancer from her body.

My mom and my dad, in that time, had been planning to move to South Carolina so my wife, Elvira, and I can continue the care that my family has been able to collectively complete in our absence due to location. Prior to the arrival to SC, mom started to take a different turn and has since come under the care of hospice and remained under our 24-hour watch while maintaining communication with hospice for questions and concerns. The health professionals from CA to SC have done their best at providing top-notch care for my mom.

Our request is any donation that may assist in taking care of unforeseen costs moving forward would be greatly appreciated. Our family has been blessed with keeping our faith in God and prayer to maintain positivity in addition to strength. We thank you for your support as my mom transitions to be with God.
