After experiencing headaches for months and brushing them off as nothing. Angela Pasqua Roberts was rushed to Baylor Hospital emergency room, in Dallas on February 15, 2016 feeling dizzy, confused and experiencing a headache like non other she had in the past. A biopsy was completed and Angela was diagnosed with the unimaginable, brain cancer. Glioblastoma Multiform GBM– It is an aggressive, highly malignant brain tumor with an extensive treatment plan and a harsh prognosis.
Angela’s emergency surgery to remove the large malignant mass from her brain was successful. Radiation treatments and chemotherapy have kept the aggressive cancer at bay but her fight is continuous. Her oncologist at Texas Oncology is shocked to report that Angela’s MRI’s are clean. We’ve been told that this is not a cancer that you can go into remission with, it’s is very aggressive and her oncologist is shocked that the tumor has not grown back.
We are fighting to keep her MRI’s clean but with Angela’s s high deductible health insurance and the extremely expensive chemotherapy treatments, we are struggling.
If you know Angela, you know what a selfless, kind and genuine person she truly is. Angela gives unconditionally and has done so much for so many people without expecting anything in return. Now it is our turn to help her as she has been there for us.
We’ve set up this page to help Angela with treatment costs, testing, prescriptions, and to subsidize her lost income. This page will allow you to contribute towards her insurmountable medical bills and continuation with the chemotherapy treatments she needs to battle this invasive disease. At this time the insurance company will only cover the generic chemotherapy drug which has resulted in Angela to break out in hives. The costly non-generic drug, Temador, is the only treatment that she is able to tolerate. Many have reached out and asked how they may be of help. This is the best way to help Angela continue the fight.
Angela knows she is not alone in this long road ahead. As a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend she is appreciative every day of the love, support and prayers you have provided during this difficult time. Her only focus right now should be getting back to the healthy and strong person she has always been.
