Supporting Andrea Conrad in her fight with cancer

Our beautiful and resilient mom, Andrea Conrad, and the entire Conrad/Lorenz family have been working through some really challenging news these past few months. Our mom began to have health issues and concerns in December 2023 causing some pain in a few areas of her body and the need for further testing.

We received in February the very difficult news that our mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer which has spread from there to her brain and sternum. There is no easy way to put into words the emotions and feelings this has brought to our mom/family and we have only just begun to process what this all means.

Whether you have known our mom for 30 years or just met her, you know that she is strong and a fighter. She has moved into this next phase accepting the necessary treatment to fight this horrible disease with the spirit that we all would expect from Andrea!

To date, she has completed a 2-week stint with Radiation followed immediately by her first round of Chemotherapy. The Chemo was a big shock to her body landing her in the ICU and hospital for about 8 days to stabilize on a few key fronts. Our mom was discharged back home the night before Easter Sunday and adjusting to this new normal with the 24/7 need for care from our dad Eric and other family and friends. As we wait for this next round of chemotherapy, we see small steps in the right direction with her being home now but also a daunting road ahead.

Any donations will go directly to supporting Andrea's family with unexpected hospital expenses and supplies to support the ongoing care it is going to take to get our mom back on her feet in the months to come as she fights breast cancer.
