Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to read my story.
My name is Rebecca, and I am a second year electrical apprentice working hard toward full certification. Recently, I was laid off due to a lack of available work, which is a challenge many tradespeople in my area are facing right now. New opportunities are scarce and many companies are struggling to stay afloat.
I have always taken pride in earning my way, building my skills, and staying committed to the trade I love. This slowdown has been unexpected and difficult, and I am doing everything I can to stay job-ready and secure new employment. While I wait for hours to return and continue sending out applications, I need help to cover imperative expenses.
Your support would help me with:
- Groceries and basic food costs
- Medical needs and prescriptions
- Care for my horse and my cat (Niah and Jasper)
- Maintaining financial stability while I work to get back on my feet
Any assistance — whether through donating or simply sharing this page — is enough! This situation has its challenges, many of which I can't overcome without some help. I can't wait for work to pick back up again, and when it does I will be ready to return to the jobsite and continue building my future.
Thank you for your time, your kindness, and your willingness to help someone weather a temporary storm. Your support will make a real, direct difference in my life during a tough season.
With gratitude,
Rebecca
