Supporting Allen Teng's Family

There is a profound sadness with the tragic passing of Dr. Allen Teng, the dedicated principal of Mann Middle School. Dr. Teng died on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 and is survived by his wife, Chellyn, and their two children.
President Barack Obama attributed the following quote to James Baldwin during his speech at the Selma anniversary:
“We are capable of bearing a great burden once we discover that the burden is reality and arrive where reality is.”
Our strength as a family comes from our bonds with and commitments to each other. We must take advantage of these connections during times of tragedy and sadness. We have created a GoFundMe campaign as one small way for us to demonstrate our support for the Teng family.
The funds raised with this memorial will be given to Chellyn to support her children during these difficult times.
