A week ago, our family’s world changed in an instant.
Alex was on her way to work, serving others as a nurse at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler, when she was involved in a devastating car accident at eight months pregnant. She suffered multiple serious injuries, and heartbreakingly, her baby boy, Ryker, did not survive.
There really aren’t words for something like this.
Ryker was already so loved. He was known, prayed over, and deeply anticipated. Even though his time here was far too short, his life has left a lasting mark on everyone who was waiting to meet him. He will always be part of this family.
In the midst of this loss, Alex has also endured multiple major surgeries and required significant blood transfusions.
She is facing extensive physical recovery, with fractures to her hips, pelvis, and leg that will limit her mobility for at least 12 weeks.
Right now, Alex is facing the unimaginable, recovering physically while carrying a level of grief that’s hard to put into words. The road ahead will be long, and the day-to-day realities of healing mean she won’t be able to do many of the things she normally would as a mom and around the house.
Out of respect for her and the family, we’re keeping details limited. But we also know people want to help, and this is one way to do that.
If you feel led, your support will go toward medical expenses, recovery, and helping provide the care and support Alex will need during this long healing process.
If giving isn’t possible, your prayers, encouragement, and SHARING this page mean more than you know.
We’re leaning on each other right now, just trying to carry some of this weight together.
Thank you for loving Alex.
Thank you for honoring Ryker.
And thank you for helping support their family through this incredibly difficult time.
How your support will help:
• Medical expenses and ongoing recovery care
• Meals and day-to-day support for the family
• Cleaning services and in-home assistance during recovery
*Please share this page so we can continue surrounding Alex and her family with support.
