Support for Alex Garcia’s Funeral Expenses

My name is Kevin Medina, and I was one of Alex Garcia’s closest friends.

Alex tragically passed away this weekend in a car accident on Cienega Rd and Limekiln Rd. His loss has left an unfillable void in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Alex and I met in middle school through our shared love of Call of Duty Zombies. We spent countless nights staying up late, watching videos and working together to solve the latest Easter eggs as they came out. Though we hadn’t met in person yet, we built a bond that only grew stronger when we finally met face-to-face in 2015, right before high school.

From that moment on, our friendship was filled with unforgettable adventures. We would visit a cheerleader gym called Fusion together and learned to backflip, spent hours at trampoline parks, and played Fortnite daily after class when it first came out. We built his first PC side by side, played Valorant, Dead by Daylight, went paintballing, and shot our first rifles together. We shared a love for Dragon Ball—watching both the Broly and Super Hero movies side by side—and even celebrated my birthday with steak at a Brazilian steakhouse.

One of the greatest adventures we shared was traveling to Japan—twice. We climbed Mount Fuji together and even drove an R34 GTR through the mountains with no signal, completely off the grid. These moments, among so many others, are some of the most treasured memories of my life. And Alex was at the heart of almost all of them.

Any and all donations will go directly toward helping Alex’s family with funeral expenses and the financial burdens that come with this heartbreaking loss.

I am fundraising on behalf of the beneficiary Yadira Mendiola, the mother of my best friend Alex Garcia. I will not be managing their funds, I have left that responsibility with Yadira and Alex's close family members. This money will be allocated for costs that arise due to the death of Alex Garcia to include funeral services.
