Supporting Albina during her recovery journey
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Patricia. I'd like to share a bit about my dear friend Albina. She and her mother moved to Canada from another country about 10 years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting Albina in 2016 through our mutual friends who are Deaf, and we quickly became close friends. We bonded over our shared experiences and interests, particularly enjoying spending time together at Deaf events.
With heartfelt permission from Albina's mother, I'm launching a GoFundMe campaign to support Albina during her recovery journey. After courageously leaving a domestic violence relationship, Albina has been hospitalized due to serious injuries for the past three weeks and is expected to require an extended stay for a full recovery under the diligent care of medical professionals.
This campaign aims to alleviate some of the burdens on Albina's family, particularly her devoted mother, who had to leave her job and home in another province to be by Albina's side in Saskatchewan. Albina entered the hospital with nothing, having been out of work since the closure of Safeway in 2020. Her mother has been tirelessly shouldering the responsibility, spending nights in the hotel to be close to Albina.
The goal of this GoFundMe campaign is to ease the financial strain on Albina's mother, allowing her to solely focus on Albina's recovery journey without worrying about practicalities. Your contributions will provide essential support during this challenging time. Let's come together as a community to support Albina and her mother as they navigate this journey towards healing.
