My little sister Aileen was recently involved in a tragic accident that was so severe. The impact caused her femur bone to break in half and come out of her skin, shredding her abductor muscles and splitting her femoral artery, leading to life-threatening complications. She has now been hospitalized in the ICU and has been admitted for nearly three weeks, fighting through unimaginable pain and enduring six surgeries, with one more still to come. During this difficult time, Aileen has also developed a pulmonary embolism, blood clot in her lungs, adding another layer of challenge to her recovery. Despite everything she’s facing, her spirit remains strong and her faith unshaken.

Once her surgeries are complete, Aileen will begin a long and demanding journey through rehabilitation, where she’ll have to learn how to walk again and regain her ability to do everyday tasks. We are creating this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her rehab, medical care, and recovery support as she works toward healing and getting back to the bright, joyful life she’s always shared with others.

Anyone who knows my sister knows she’s a loving, happy, and faith-filled person someone who is always there when others need her most. She lifts everyone’s spirits with her laughter, and carries a smile that can light up any room. Even through this hardship, she continues to trust that God is in control, holding onto hope and strength every step of the way. A Bible verse that reflects her faith and this journey is:
