Over the past the decade, I have been visiting African countries and helping with teaching and training of surgeons and health professionals. It has been a joy and privilege to work with other like-minded colleagues from all around the globe to try to make a small difference.
One of our core goals is to help build TEAMS, and to increase capacity, to deliver wholistic and sustainable healthcare in the resource-limited African context. Supporting African Surgeons has been set up to help with this - to facilitate education programmes and training, as well as helping with obtaining surgical equipment.
This current fund-raising drive is to help shipping equipment already collected over to Africa, and to support educational programmes being planned for late 2025 and early 2026, specifically to support nurse, health professionals, and medical trainees who will participate in these training programmes.
