Our dear sister Abby and her family are facing an unimaginable loss. At 31 weeks pregnant, Abby delivered her precious baby boy, Jawad, who returned to his Creator before taking his first breath. In Islam, we believe that every soul is written by Allah with purpose, and that the children who pass before us become a source of mercy and intercession for their parents on the Day of Judgment. We pray that baby Jawad is welcomed with light, peace, and the gentleness of Allah’s mercy.

As Abby, her husband, and her three children grieve this heartbreaking loss, they are also facing unexpected financial burdens—medical costs, time away from work, and the expenses needed to honor baby Jawad’s memory.
