#TeamMichelle Fighting Pancreatic Cancer

Donation protected
On September 19, 2014, Michelle faced the loss of her fiancé Jon Couch to a tragic plane crash.  Jon was on his way to a race for the Team he owned TOBC Racing.  While recovering from this devastating loss, Michelle decided that she wanted to carry on Jon’s legacy, his Team.  She worked very hard to make this happen, sold everything she could, got sponsors, and with blood, sweat and tears managed to not only buy TOBC but also became the first Team ever owned by a Woman to win the Iconic Daytona 200 (all while still working her own full time job.  Owning TOBC helped Michelle to heal while she was surrounded by what Jon loved and those who loved Jon.

On April 4th, 2017, Michelle found love again and met her now husband, Myles Wilson.  Watching their love grow and prosper has been like watching the perfect Disney Fairy Tale! Michelle and Myles became engaged that next year in August and starting planning the wedding of their dreams.  Just about a month before their wedding Michelle innocently went to the doctor for something she thought she was a little food poisoning.  Little did she know then that she was about to be faced with the biggest fight of her life.

On May 24th, 2019, Michelle was officially diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She faced this with fortitude and underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy on June 14th. While her post-operative physical recovery has been progressing very well, we have come to find out the tumor had spread to nearby lymph nodes.

Michelle has been diagnosed with Stage 3, Pancreatic Cancer.  Michelle, with the support and love of Myles, is about to begin the race of her life as she prepares for chemotherapy and radiation.  No race can be won without a good Team, and you can see by the outpouring of love from Facebook alone that she has a huge Team!

In the face of this adversity, Michelle still continues to amaze us all as she remains strong, has grace and gratitude, and never allows these life adversities to set her back. She fights!

Michelle is many things: vibrant, generous, kind, thoughtful, ferocious, magnetic... but most of all, we want Michelle to be a survivor.  She has friends near and far, but for those of you who feel at a loss for how to show your love or support, we invite you to donate here if you are able, share her story, and again above all else please pray for her and Myles. #TeamMichelle
