On the morning of November 5, 2025, a quiet Murrieta home filled with decades of love was shattered in an instant. A stranger walked in and brought unimaginable violence into the lives of a couple who deserved nothing but peace. In the chaos of that morning, seventy-year-old Robert Brink lost his life. His wife, Cyndye Polsgrove, survived with serious injuries that will take time, care, and gentle support to heal.
What she lost that morning can never be fully restored. She didn’t just lose her partner. She lost the person she woke up next to for a lifetime. The one she shared her every ordinary day.
Now she is recovering in the hospital, trying to make sense of a world that suddenly feels too quiet and too heavy. She is fighting to heal while facing the heartbreak of going home to a life that will never feel the same.
We are creating this GoFundMe to lift some of that weight from her shoulders and help her feel surrounded by love as she takes her first steps through this painful new reality. Your donation will help carry her through a time when she is grieving, healing, and trying to rebuild her sense of safety. Funds will go toward:
• Medical bills and ongoing care
• Mortgage and bills
• Cremation of Robert Brink
• Safe housing and essential needs
