Hi everyone,

 

A few months ago a past student of mine (now a young adult) lost his housing, had some legal trouble, and because of the stress that has come from all this, has struggled to find and maintain a job. Most concerning is the housing instability he's experienced (sometimes he's able to find a place to stay and other times he has no where to go) and the toll that has taken on him.

 

I've been there for him in a number of ways over the summer and early fall and I'm realizing now that I need to reach out to my community for some support in helping him get back on his feet.

 

In order to find enough stability to get steady work and get his physical and mental health back, he needs to get his car drivable again, start renting a room or small studio apartment, get basic expenses covered for a month or two, and get a little help paying down court fees.

 

I’ve started this fundraiser to support him with as much of this as possible.

 

I’m reaching out to you to ask if you’d be willing to give some funds to help out with this. It would mean a lot to both him and me. The last few years have been tough on so many of us, some much more than others, and what’s gotten us all through is being there for each other as much as we’re able. I’m grateful for all of you and would deeply appreciate whatever support you can give.
