Supporting a friend diagnosed with stage 4 cancer

It is with a heavy heart that we start this GoFundMe and ask for your support. We recently learned that our close friend Manny Sakatis (also the father of one of the players on our team, Niko) has been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and that it has already metastasized to his liver. This prognosis yields a challenging uphill battle that includes significant chemotherapy. Manny is committed to fighting the good fight however the long term is not promising. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

This disease can be debilitating at times and requires the Patient to be focused on trying to stay positive and trying to recover. There will be many doctor appointments and days that are just bad days. Manny and Koula, both, could miss significant work time in the short run and as we all know, this can have a long term negative effect financially.
