Helyca was diagnosed with cancer and, following medical advice, was forced to stop working. During this already challenging time, she also experienced the arrival of a new life — she recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, who has become her greatest source of strength, love, and a daily reminder of God’s grace and purpose.
Sadly, after undergoing surgery to remove the cancer, the family received devastating news: the cancer has progressed to stage 4.
While this diagnosis has brought profound emotional distress and significant financial strain, they continue to lean on their faith, believing that God has the power to comfort, sustain, and change this situation according to His will.
Her husband, Wildenberg, has spent the last 10 years working helping build and support the infrastructure of Greater Vancouver. He has always worked hard to provide for his family, contributing directly to the growth of the community they call home.
Today, they are walking through a season that no family should have to face alone, relying on both their faith and the compassion of others.
At this time, their priority is to ensure stability, dignity, and care — especially for their newborn — while preparing for the difficult months ahead. The financial burden of medical expenses, daily living costs, childcare, and unforeseen challenges continues to grow. Through prayer, faith in God, and the support of a caring community, they believe there is hope beyond this moment.
In the midst of uncertainty, this family continues to stand firm in faith, trusting that God is present, powerful, and able to bring hope even in the darkest circumstances.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time. Your support means more than words can express.
