Our TGSL softball community has always been more than a team—it’s a family. And right now, one of our own needs us to stand beside them in a way none of us ever imagined.
George “Boe” Depew—who has spent years cheering on our girls from the sidelines, coaching with patience, passion, and a whole lot of heart—has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The news has left our community heartbroken. Boe isn’t just a coach. He’s a mentor, a role model, and the steady presence who has guided so many young athletes—including his own children, Easton, Kennedy, and Masen—with encouragement and pride.
His wife, Rebecca, is now carrying the weight of a reality no spouse should ever have to face. She is doing everything she can to hold her family together—juggling appointments, caring for Boe, comforting her children, and trying to stay strong when the world feels anything but steady. She’s showing courage every single day, but even the strongest hearts sometimes need help.
This GoFundMe is our way of wrapping the Depew family in the same love and support they have always shown to ours. The coming months will bring difficult decisions, medical treatments, and moments that deserve their full attention. We want to ease even a small part of the overwhelming financial strain—helping with bills, household needs, and anything that allows them to simply focus on being together through this fight.
If you feel led to give, please know that no amount is too small. Every donation, every share, every prayer, and every message of love matters more than you know. And if donating isn’t possible, lifting the Depews up in prayer or sharing their story is just as meaningful.
The Depew family has shown our community what dedication, loyalty, and heart look like. Now, it’s our turn to show them that same unwavering support. No family should walk through this alone—and in our softball family, they never will.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us lift up the Depews during this incredibly heavy season. And in Boe’s own words, spoken with the same spirit we all know and love: “Cancer picked the wrong dude.”
