As many of you know, Alanna Foster has spent over 25 years dedicating her life to caring for others as a professional in the healing arts. She has always been one of the first to show up and help friends, family, and even strangers in times of need. Now, Alanna is facing a significant health battle of her own, and we are hoping the community she has supported for so many years can rally around her in this moment.

On the 22nd, Alanna will undergo a mastectomy. While her spirit remains strong, the physical reality of this surgery is life-altering for someone whose work depends on upper body strength and mobility. Her medical team and professional experience agree that a six-month recovery period is necessary to ensure she heals properly and can eventually return to the work she loves. Unfortunately, her surgery was fast tracked, leaving her with little time to prepare financially for such a long recovery period. As a self-employed single parent, Alanna has no access to disability benefits or paid leave, and the slow housing market means the funds from her potential home sale are not available to help with this immediate crisis.

We are raising funds to help bridge this six-month gap so Alanna can cover essential living expenses and provide for her children while she recovers.
