Supporting a Cancer Warrior’s Wish to Be Home

My Dad has lived with AML Leukemia for over two years. He has faced this illness with courage, grit, and even celebrated a brief and unexpected remission. Now, as treatment options have come to an end, he is preparing for the next stage of his journey with grace.

Together with his medical team, my father and our family are arranging in-home hospice and home care. His greatest wish is to remain in the comfort of his own home of more than 30 years, surrounded by love and alongside his wife of 60 years. Unfortunately, the high cost of home care is not covered by insurance.

So many of our family and friends have stood by us in countless ways throughout this battle, and we are deeply grateful. Many have asked how they can help from near and far. With humility and love, we are creating this GoFundMe to ease the financial burden of home care and allow Dad to spend this time in the safety and familiarity of his home.
