Stage-4 HOPE for Russ

Thank you for taking the time to read this! My name is Amanda, I am reaching out because my siblings Russell, Sonya and I see the need of support for my parents Russel & Cheryl Bovill. Our Parents have been together for 24 years they have 9 grandchildren. Our lives have been turned upside down. No one is prepared to write these things, to ask for help or to hear the news you never want to hear.

On October 23rd my stepdad was diagnosed with lung cancer. Unfortunately, our Dad has not been able to work since October due to his diagnosis. From there they found two spots on his liver that turned out to be cancer as well. Then we found out it spread from the liver to his lymph nodes. Crazy and rare enough he has 2 different types of cancers. They believe the cancer in his liver and lymph nodes are not the same cancer that is in his lung. Doctors do not want to biopsy his lung because his lung is too fragile. He has stage 4 cancer and it was decided by the Oncologist team NO Chemo or radiation. He started Immunotherapy 2 weeks ago with the intent for TIME… Many families that have suffered the cancer battle will be able to relate to our story and the everyday simple life routines that are stripped away from cancer. Just walking down a flight of stairs is challenging for my dad these days.

All this heartache has lead my family to this fund. You see our Mom would GIVE ANYTHING to be able to cut back her work hours. She works two jobs to stay afloat working approximately 60-70 hours a week. TIME is so SHORT and of the essence.  They both would be so grateful to be given the gift of MORE TIME with each other. This fund would give her the ability to cut back so they can pay medical bills, medical insurance and their day to day bills. It would provide them with the gift to do the things our Dad would like to do in whatever time he has left. The things our Mom and dad have always enjoyed doing. Perhaps try something new on his bucket list. We would love to see him given this chance to find a little joy or peace during this time. We are so blessed to have all of you...
