Our dear colleague and friend, Carla, recently suffered an accident while in Mexico that left her with a broken hip. What was meant to be a birthday trip has turned into a painful and overwhelming ordeal. She is facing not only physical pain, but also the emotional stress of being far from home and the financial burden of medical care she never could have anticipated.

Carla urgently returned to the United States to receive surgery and begin the long road to recovery. Unfortunately, the cost of medical transport, surgery, and rehabilitation is far beyond what she and her family can manage on their own.
