Support The Home of Yoga's Big Move

A vision is become a reality. It is becoming a reality because of all the hard work of the community of supportive people that make upThe Home Of Yoga and The Family Nurturing Centre and our Menatal Health Station .  Over 9,000 hours of classes were held at our old centre in Mosman Park Western Australia  and while sad that it ended we are more than over the moon with this new space. Everyghing is so much clearer and we can offer so much more to all our students. Sam say's it is like he has suddenly cleaned his glasses and he can see everyone's postures and and alignment in the poses 100% better. The needs of our yoga students is our priority and the increased quality of our yoga will become almost intantly into everyone's awareness. The Jimmy Cliff song "I can see clearly now"comes to my heart and mind and it totally represents how i feel about moving from 18 years at our old studio to this new space.
One of our big things at this new centre we want is to be able to support First Responders , Veterans , Fire Men and Women , Police and Ambulance officers ,and Refugees .All those very important men and women we so rely on. We will continue to also support Pregnant families and babies and of ourse all who love the art of authentic Alignment Based Yoga.
*****To do this our studio has some special needs .Such as a special toilet for changing babies Hygienically and we also need our facility to serve people who have handicaps. We will be offering special mental health courses for Trauma. A number of other things need to be accomplished to make us available to as much of the community as possible . Walls to be painted,a community room, and numerous other things. An alarm system is in place but it takes $ to make it work,Our community room needs to made useable by all. An outsdie awining so we have shade for people to sit undere and comunicate. Blinds on a very sunny and ugly window that can be made fantastic with a wooden blind. We need shelves for the library. Our front gate needs it's lockes made much more secure. Entry signs and a sign on the highway that ays not only Home of Yoga but it also states for the whole community "Mental Health Station" so people know we are here to help them and the community.  About $4000 more is needed. We have faith it can be achieved. Please keep sharing our campaign and emailing to anyone who wants to support a good cause that is looking to support the community for the betterment of people's lives.
To make the vision materialize we still need heaps of support and funds to be donated so please keep our Go Fund me campaign alive.Encourage it to stay live by pressing like or making comments or sharing it forward.
Look how far we have come!!!
Once again we are so overwhelmed by the support so far and a heartfelt thank you and the Vision is almost totally created. We shall take a breath and keep up the hard work

To date we have put in a new floor, knocked down walls, painted and moved plumbing pipes. A huge amount of physical work has been donated by our community . The vision is coming into clarity and it is so exciting.

*A note from Sam:
"Hi Sam here from The Home of Yoga. Yoga is my life and has been for 48 years since I took my first yoga class.
It has been 33 years since I taught my first class in Perth. . The Home of Yoga started out in a community hall in Fremantle and then moved to the Cottesloe Civic Centre and Swanbourne Beach Surf Club.
18 years ago driving down the highway I saw our current location. It took heaps of work to make it work and Im proud of the community that jumped in to knock walls down, polish floors, put new bathrooms in and paint walls and take bars off windows. It was heaps of work by the community but we did it and for 18 years it has served us wonderfully.
It has been a year of challenges for us and it has included some personal family grief. So when after 18 years we got a huge shock a few weeks ago when we were faced with a lease proposal impossible for us that included obstacles that none of you would want us to agree to as they were not about what we stand for.
This happened  out of nowhere. That meant we had no choice but to move and totally no chance to create funds. Our normal resources we used to secure our new property.
When we got the news it at first shook us as it all seemed so unfair. I  was really sad  and yes a bit stressed. So many memories and wondeful people have walked these floors. After a few tears shed we let go into the positive to be free of old negative stuff and create a new beginning . We went right out and started looking for a new dream. It was just like the old centre had a sledge hamer taken to it so strong was the message to move that was delivered.  I saw we can be reborn and start fresh. First we felt a strong responsibility to all our current students to stay close by It was not easy and just a block away we found our NEW home.  What a gift.
Yogi's have lost the old home and now need a nice new HOME
It does take vision and $$$ and now 18 years later we once again  have walls to knock down and other factors like the floor needs to be redone and other practical things but I sat down and meditated in the middle of the building and I saw a beautiful floor and a large room and beautiful trees outside the windows. "
Now it just takes all of you to support this vision both with funds and action. Im still shaken I have to be honest about that but I can feel the vision growing. A very good friend said "move forward away from the stress and the funds will just flow in and trust.
"So here we go Please believe in us and support our vision and make it your vision as well. Please donate what you can.
****It would also really help so much if you can share this and pass it on .  Share it on facebook ,send it to your friends, post it on your timeline . Post it to those that care by email . Anyone that ever had a baby thru The Family Centre inform your network of parents .
Thank you so much with love and peace and light

So much is possible to make this a real community centre .

PLEASE NOTE: Help and Support is Super Appreciated with this move . We make this commitment to put our heart and soul into working on our Vision and creating a space where together we can build a better world for ourselves and our children.

In our new building we will be able to move deeper into manifesting our Vision & Missions as shared below:

Vision of the Home of Yoga Healing & Wellness Centre:

Our vision is to create an intentional community committed to healing and growth, a community working for the 'greater good' by offering therapeutic, healing and wellness activities that help to create healthy connected individuals and a society that gravitates towards empathy, co-operation, equality and peaceful living.

Yoga that is of high quality and encourages alignment and transformation of body mind and spirit . Taught in the spirit of unconditional acceptance with no goals or judgements . Building both an understanding of the body and self acceptance of self and life.  Yoga with life energy and lots of breath and a bit of sweat and a giggle or a tear. Details in the poses that support all bodies and help to focus the mind in meditation.

Vision of the Family Nurturing Centre:
We believe in a world where ‘caring communities’ share the values of co-operation, respect for difference, equality of opportunity and access to essential resources. We have seen over 5,000 families in our Pregnancy and Parenting Classes

A world that prioritizes nurturing and the facilitation of relationships based on empathy, kindness and nonviolence. A world that seeks above all else to protect the health of its children and its children’s planetary home. We recognize that all humans are interconnected and that each of us in our own way help to create this world.

Healthy attachments are essential to the optimal health of humans of all ages. Simple moments where we take a breath and attune to the present have great value in creating this world. In these simple moments we build trust, communication and compassion for each other, we build relationship, family and community"

The Family Nurturing Centre’s mission is to support families through the provision of resources, services and education to lay the foundations of mental health and well being in the family. Through revitalizing caring communities and connecting families that align themselves with the spirit of nurturing, empathy and cooperation, children flourish and the whole society benefits.

The Mental Health Stations Mission is to facilitate Trauma Informed Communities and offer to the community accessible trainings in mental health and wellness that help to create a more compassionate and kinder world and give practical resources and pathways to build resilience and life skills for individuals, families, workplaces & communities.

Mission of The Mindful Home:
To provide resources and trainings  to support each other in creating mindful homes & mindful communities through mindful birthing, parenting and living."

Hi Everyone,
Sydel speaking
I am excited about this change! Yes it comes with some challenge as  change and growth often does. It also presents us with new opportunities and will enable us to run more mindfulness classes and trainings, as well as an expanded variety of workplace and community trainings. I am especially excited that out new home comes with two consult rooms and one I will be using to run the Heart-Space body therapy from. Overall this move will take us closer to fulfulling our Vision.

Change also gives time to reflect and appreciate what we as a community have created.  Over the last months I have often paused in our current rooms and felt a deep appreciation of the community that revolves around our Home of Yoga, the journey and moments we have all shared. To me these moments are deeply meaningful and now we can hold these moments in our hearts and memories and move forward to create more and an expanded Vision.

We do need your help to do this and have a narrow window to pull down walls and create new ground to practice on. Your donatations, good will and volunteering help this to happen.

Have a listen to this song it is perfect for our vision and for all of us and our world.
