Support Nick as He Heals from a Major Accident

This fundraiser is for our friend, Nick Gomez: a kind, genuine, and gentle soul, with a gift for bringing light into the lives of others every chance he gets. You might know Nick as the vintage stylist and thifter at Aubergine Vintage, as your favorite bartender around Sebastopol, or as the talented artist on the block.



Nick was in a very serious car accident on October 3. It totalled his vehicle and he has been in the hospital since, with multiple major injuries, including a broken spine, ankle and other trauma. The doctors performed emergency surgery, and Nick is now staring down a long road to recovery, including several months in a neck brace, leg cast, and rehabilitation. Nick has maintained his trademark chill throughout this harrowing week and the physical therapists are impressed by his resilience and excited that he has been able to start to get up and move around!



It is truly a miracle that Nick is here with us, but it will be quite a while before he will be able to return to work and perform routine daily activities. This is our opportunity, as Nick's family, friends and caring community, to now bring some light back to Nick so that he can focus on his health and the momentous task of healing. The funds we are raising will be instrumental in easing some of the mental stress of this prolonged period without income, and will help cover basic needs such as food, rent, transportation, physical therapy costs, and any out of pocket medical expenses incurred during his hospital stay.
