Support Gabby through her Stem Cell Transplant
Donation protected
This page has been created to support Gabby, James and the Oke Family as she undergoes a Stem Cell Transplant as part of her treatment for leukemia.
In April 2023, Gabby and James moved to Perth to start an exciting new chapter overseas. However, in December 2023 their lives came to a halt when Gabby received the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (a form of blood cancer), at age 25.
This past year has involved many hospital stays, chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments which successfully put her into a remission status for the latter part of this year. Gabby has now undergone a stem cell transplant to hopefully ensure the cancerous cells never return and allow her to get back to living a full life. This will be a long road to recovery both physically and mentally. She has had radiation and more chemotherapy to prepare for the donor cells, which went in on 21/11. She is currently day +17 after her transplant and still recovering in hospital.
While we know Gabby and her family are beyond thankful for the support they have received, we would like to put the call out to the wider community of people who know and would like to support Gabby, James and the Oke Family while they navigate this chapter of her journey.
James has been an amazing partner to Gabby, he has stood by her side and shown unconditional support. Her family have also been supporting Gabby in every way they can with Greg and Julie relocating to Perth for part of this year to be with Gabby throughout her treatment.
We are so proud of her strength and resilience throughout this journey already.
To know Gabby is to love her, she is an amazing person and friend. She is kind, patient and caring when others are in need. Now is the time for us to do the same for her.
Your generosity would be greatly appreciated to alleviate some of the financial pressure as Gabby continues her treatment and recovery. The funds will provide much-needed support during this challenging time, helping her focus on healing without the added stress of financial burdens. Your kindness and contribution will make a meaningful difference in her journey, and she is deeply grateful for your support.
