Beyond the Frontlines: Women Physician Stories

Donation protected

We are creating a 4-7 episode docu-series called "Beyond the Frontlines", interviewing women of color female physicians in ER departments across the US and India. In addition to recalling the events, we are diving into the deeper personal stories of the women behind the frontlines.

What are the things they're going through day-to-day at the hospital and at home, especially if they're living with multiple generations? What is it like to have come to the US for residency from India and then be thrown into a pandemic? What happens when an overrun hospital that serves primarily black and brown populations is refused adequate funding?  Given that mental health is seldom discussed in communities of color, how are these women coping with their own sense of helplessness?

This is my love letter to these sheroes. Join me in writing this love letter to them.

The stories of frontliners highlight not just the seriousness of a global pandemic, but also deep-seated issues such as racism, classism and inequity.

We're excited from the early support we've received from production partners and world renowned global networks. We still need your support.

Funding will cover all filming, post-production and distribution efforts. Any extra money raised will go directly to hospitals for PPE and other needed resources.

Thank you for supporting us supporting the world!
