Hey everyone, 

As some of you know, Roger had fallen ill Sunday night/Monday morning and was brought to the hospital in Grande Prairie Monday morning. Later that morning he received a diagnosis that no one would like to hear. Roger has been diagnosed with cancer and will be off work for the foreseeable future as he kicks cancers ass. This will put a major financial strain on him and his family. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Roger, know that Roger is the type of person who would give anyone the shirt off his back if they were in need. He lights up any room he walks in to with a good joke and can turn anyone's frown in to a smile in seconds. He is constantly cracking jokes and makes coming to work enjoyable for us all. That said, I feel many of us have had this disease affect us in one way or another with family members or friends who have had it, and we all know that he will have a long road of recovery ahead of him. I believe that we as friends and as coworkers of Roger should show him that he isn't in this fight alone and that we have his back. Currently Roger is in hospital in Grande Prairie recovering from surgery but will be flying back to his home in Newfoundland once he has the strength to do so and will be undergoing treatments in Newfoundland.. Any funds raised would be used for transportation costs to and from treatments, bills, groceries, etc as he is off work.
