My Mom’s Battle

Hi Family and Friends,

My name is TaMesha and Jackie Halbert is my amazing mother. For those of you who know her, you know that my mother is an extraordinary human being. She is God fearing, loving, selfless, and unbelievably strong person who has always put her friends and family before herself. My mother has a heart of gold and would do anything to help out any one of us in our time of need.

In June of this year, a routine mammogram turned my mother’s life, as well as my entire family, upside down.The mammogram detected a lump. A biopsy of that lump proved to be breast cancer. That news itself was scary to hear being that my grandmother, her mom, had also been diagnosed with breast cancer years before. Grandmother passed away in 2017 from a cancer related illness. So you can imagine how terrifying it was to find out that my mother’s cancer is triple negative, one of the most difficult to treat.

As modest as my mother is, this is the time when she needs our help, during this vulnerable time in her life. The medical bills, the cost of an upcoming surgery, as well as associated personal expenses have become overwhelming for my mother. Her income has decreased because she has been unable to work all of her income sources. Anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Now is the time that we can help and surround her with love, support, and prayers. Please spread the word and pray for my mother to beat this evil thing we call cancer.
