Mélodie Crawford is a dedicated teacher & tutor in Wemindji. Her heart always seemed devoted to 2 things: Raising her 3 beautiful daughters, and helping high school students succeed. Working in a northern Cree community is not always easy when family emergencies arise back home. Mélodie lost her youngest daughter last Friday, September 12th, in a canoe accident near Mont Tremblant. The picture you see was taken a month before her death. Although we may feel utterly powerless in helping a mother cope with losing her littlest angel, we CAN help with the financial costs. The flights alone will cost 2000$, not to mention accommodations and funeral expenses. Every little bit will help.
