My name is Lauren. I have known the Gooding's for 10years or so. Our kids have grown up as close friends. Hester and I are both nurses. Carl and I are both musicians. Our kids surf together.

The Gooding's have always been an adventurous family. Far more adventurous then my own. They are busy, always involved, and live life to the fullest. Whether traveling to Australia or cycling to raise money for the ADA, they are always doing something, together.

She is unrecognizable from the smiling healthy young woman she was growing up to be. The only way to survive is to live moment to moment. The physical and emotional effects are jarring. The cause is unknown, the treatment unknown, the future unknown.

I set up this page because I wanted to do something to help. I had no idea how crucial it would become, how much money it would raise, or how much they would come to depend on the funds.
